So happy we found this gem....good food for a reasonable price. It's tucked away in a what appears to be an alley with a few other restaurants but it was the only one open for breakfast. Minimal outdoor seating only but if you get there early you should be fine. Simple breakfast done well! I ordered the Hawaiian bread French toast with scrambled eggs and turkey bacon. The French toast had an overwhelming amount of cinnamon (like the cap accidentally fell off) on one piece. The eggs were cooked well and the turkey bacon was perfect (thankfully not the Jenni-O bullcrap. Also, the guava pancakes were tasty. The Happy Hawaiian will definitely be a go to when we visit Honolulu.

Fantastic way to kick off our vacation! With the 6 hour time difference for us, we were up quite early and were looking for breakfast. We stumbled upon Happy Hawaiian Cafe on Yelp and gave it a shot and I am so happy we did! They offer up great Hawaiian breakfasts like spam and eggs, loco moco and some fun (very sweet) options for kids. Everything we had was great. I recommend getting there early as a line formed pretty quickly and with a small kitchen it can take some time for food to come out. Definitely give this place a try!

Thankfully the Yelp gods led me to the Happy Hawaiian for my first breakfast in Waikiki. The Cafe is a hidden in an alley (use Google Maps for walking directions), but can be easily spotted because it is one of the only breakfast places open in the restaurant block - just look for the crowd of people! They offer a great fusion of traditional Hawaiian and mainland breakfast foods. We ordered the loco moco and the haupia coconut pudding pancakes. I've never had haupia before (I initially thought of Filipino "hopia"), but it definitely didn't dissapoint! It's a creamy coconut pudding that isn't overly sweet. As someone who doesn't like eating dessert for breakfast, I appreciated the appropriate level of sweetness of the pudding! If you're a meat lover, the loco moco is a must (not to mention a bang for your buck). The line was about a 15 minute wait, but it went by fast considering there were only 3 people working the cafe. Food was out within 5 minutes of ordering - impressive!

I'm a basic breakfast guy, but I really enjoyed the Loco Moco at this place. My wife had the Hawaiian pork omelet which was also quite good. If you need a frilly experience, you may want to go somewhere else, but for good food and friendly service in Waikiki, this is a solid spot.

Business was a little hidden, but I was able to find it. The customer service was extremely friendly and inviting. We were able to customize our order. Food came out hot and fresh made to order. It was a nice portion and very delicious! Price is very reasonable spent around $60 for four meals total. Will definitely be visiting here again!

We found this place in Yelp as we were wanting some waffles for breakfast. It's located inside a small dining plaza called Royal Hawaiian with other food stalls. The service was fast and friendly. As for the chocolate chip waffle it was soft and crunchy.

We stumbled on this hole in the wall cafe and are glad we did. It's off the beaten path in a food stall area called Royal Hawaiian Dining Plaza. It's counter service, seat yourself. There was a long line when we entered but they move people along fairly quickly. The pancakes were good. The omelet breakfast was good. And lastly, 2 people in my party shred a breakfast platter with an extra set of toast. They both enough to make a sandwich. Everyone is super friendly. Would return!

Happy Hawaiian Café rocks‼ #FantasticFood #WonderfulService #GreatPrices We love this place. Very reasonable. Fun steel tables, which we love. Clean, quick service, fun, and good food. Easy to add to/supplement items. Low prices and good value. French toast was phenomenal and added Kalua pork as a protein. Thank you for the great meal and good service appreciated.
